Founded in 2011 Ánorâk Film is a Greenland based production company focusing on telling authentic stories in a Greenlandic context. The first film from Ánorâk Film was the feature documentary “SUMÉ – The Sound of a Revolution” which was selected as the first ever film from Greenland to screen at the Berlinale (Panorama 2015). It has screened at more than 70 international film festivals, and won several awards. Ánorâk Film also produces programming and information campaigns for TV and web, but always with a focus on authenticity and through a set of ethical values put forward by owners Inuk Silis Høegh and Emile Hertling Péronard. Building a bridge between Europe and the Arctic, Ánorâk Film also engages as co-producer on international film productions such as “Aquarela” by Victor Kossakovsky, and other works within both documentary and fiction.

INUK SILIS HØEGH
Director and Owner
Inuk Silis Høegh is a film director and artist, born in Qaqortoq, Greenland, in 1972.
He earned a Master of Arts in Film & TV Production from the University of Bristol in 1997 and a Master of Fine Arts from the Royal Danish School of Visual Arts in 2010.
Since the 1990s he's produced and directed a number of short films, music videos, documentaries and commercials along with his works as an artist with numerous exhibitions and art installations in the Nordic
countries and abroad.
In 1999 he directed the first short film produced in Greenland. "Sinilluarit" (Goodnight) was screened at 27 international film festivals and won the audience award at the Far North Film Festival in 2000. It was later acquired by Canal+TV.
He is a member of Film.gl - Greenlandic Film Workers and Kimik - Greenland's Art Association. As an artist he received the Niels Wessel Bagge award in 2005.
SUMÉ - THE SOUND OF A REVOLUTION is his feature documentary directional debut.

EMILE HERTLING PÉRONARD
Producer and Owner
Born in Copenhagen in 1979, but grew up in Nuuk, Greenland, with his Greenlandic mother and Danish father. Owner of production companies in both Copenhagen and Nuuk (Ánorâk Film co-owned with director Inuk Silis Høegh), Emile Hertling Péronard aims at building a bridge between Europe and the Arctic, producing authentic stories in a Greenlandic context for international audiences.
Through his involvment in the Greenlandic filmmakers organization, FILM.GL, Emile Hertling Péronard has also been highly active in promoting Greenlandic film content internationally, setting up talent initiatives for Greenlandic filmmakers, as well as improving the general conditions for film production in Greenland.
